Associate Prof. Udom Chimpakdee from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Chiang Mai University, is the project owner who wants to create an impact on Thai society. His interests are both painting and sculpture, as a lecturer at the university with important sculptures in Bangkok. Having worked on sculptures with China, he sees the importance of the watercolor exhibition project with the collaboration of famous artists in Thailand and invited master artists from Thailand and abroad, as well as new watercolor artists who were selected to join the event. They had the opportunity to meet for the first time in Chiang Mai Province.

They began to send their works for participants to admire. And the important part of the event was inviting many master watercolor artists of Thailand, famous watercolor artists, to join the events, and artists from almost every province, more than two hundred people, to join the exhibition and demonstrate their works, including artists who were selected from the submission of theirwork

IWM (International Watercolor Masters) is an organization of watercolor artists based in England, world-class masters, with Mr. LaFe Sattha Homsawat, a member of IWM, coordinating the exhibition and demonstration, which invited approximately 13 people to join the event to celebrate the university's heritage through the exhibition of world-class and local watercolor artworks. This event emphasizes the culture and creativity of Lanna, which is in line with the university's strategic agenda for sustainable development and the creation of a creative brand within the region. This exhibition aims to highlight Chiang Mai as a "Creative Lanna Platform" that combines art, culture, and design.

In late October 2024, I had the opportunity to learn about the watercolor exhibition organized by the Faculty of Fine Arts, Chiang Mai University. I had the opportunity to talk with Ms. Suthanee Pawijit, the project coordinator.
